COLLABORATE 07 is the Oracle technology and applications forum dedicated to delivering technical knowledge that global users can apply to improve the day-to-day performance of their Oracle environments. Held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, April 15 – 19, the conference is hosted by the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest). Supporting Lean Manufacturing: Oracle Applications in a High-Volume, Configure-to-Order Environment
OSI’s second presentation will demonstrate to attendees how Oracle Applications can be used to support lean manufacturing, allowing businesses to shorten cycle times throughout their manufacturing and distribution processes. The solution that will be presented has been used to support a business that manufactures and ships over 25,000 items per day from seven manufacturing plants spread across the United States.
Gesell will explain how this solution was accomplished through creative use of standard Oracle Applications functionality, without invasive customizations.
